Alright I'm about to buy a 1998 Tacoma as my first vehicle. I am 19 years old.

    Here is the listing.

    http://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/cto/3787837863.html

    It's a 1998 Toyota Tacoma. Has 286,000 miles. 4x4. I THINK it's the V6 model.

Guy wanted $6k, got the vehicle for $5700 going to look at it tomorrow.
I'm also running a Car Fax on it tonight.

Is this a good deal? I'm using it as a truck to commute to college, 4 hours away, as a daily driver and for hunting in South Georgia on mud covered tracts.

    Welcome
I can understand your on a budget but make sure the truck is good enough for a 4 hour drive. With that many miles I'm guessing it's been maintained well. If not be ready to spend on repairs and maintenance that hasn't been done.
Hope it's a good buy if you do get it.
And xxxx is right on wrong place to post, but it happens to many
