Ideas on Hood Shocks??

    Lifted, wheels and tires, 6k headlights, black tail light, duel exhaust.
    Thinking about getting hood shocks for the truck, does anyone know where to get them or what kind?? I'm short so I think it would help me:eek:

    You had me scratching my head,,couldn't understand why the hood needed a shock.

    I think you are looking for hood "struts" ??

    Look up redline hood struts. Got some on my truck, they work great

    Seen these in use a couple of times and they are solid. One strut on one side does the job, but with 2 you are set. Pretty dang easy to install, as long as you have a cheap rivet gun for $10 from any hardware store.

    Just a bunch of old crap
    Make some measurements and mark with a pencil.
    Drill a few small holes.
    Pop in a few rivets with a cheap hand-squeeze rivet gun.
    Snap on the struts.
    Have a cold beer and enjoy.

    Half hour if you don't rush and make sure your measurements and marks are accurate.

    I have the Redline hood struts on my WRX and the quality is top notch. I plan on getting another set for my Taco.
