Problem please help

    When I try to start my 1989 Toyota two wheel drive four cyl, the check engine light flashes I have to hold the gas to the floor truck will start and run for 30-40 seconds then die while it's running the check engine light flashes motor sounds like its on a rev limiter changed coil and igniter have power / fule pressure any ideas

    It will sound like its on a rev limiter if you keep your foot on the gas all the way down for 30-40 seconds.
