Trouble with 1st gear

    I have a 99 w/manual transmission. It currently has about 145k miles. I'm the original owner and am considering keeping for at least another 100k miles.

    I'm currently having trouble putting it in 1st gear, but not every time. It doesn't grind. I always come to a complete stop before attempting to put into 1st gear. Doesn't seem to matter if it's warmed up or not. Any ideas about what the problem might be?
