Well for the past few months I've been researching different vehicles to buy and the tacoma was at the top of my list. I originally wanted a double cab 4x4 but would have had to wait until later this year to buy it. While doing research I found this site and have read up on a few things. I read some of the thread on the regular cab 4x4s and added one to my list of options.

Later that day I found the only one in my area and test drove it. It was love at the first turn of the key. It's a black 2012 regular cab base model 4x4 with the auto trans. It's my first 4x4 truck so I'll be asking a lot of questions. Don't want to go too wild with it until the warranty is out but for now I do want a small lift, bumpers, lights, and some wheels and tires.

I'm in victoria. Don't get down to corpus often but I would like to go out to the island in my new truck sometime.

Welcome! Do a lot of researching on here before buying anything and be sure to do it right the first time. There are a lot of "right" ways to do stuff and twice as many "wrong" ways. Do your homework!!

I treat my trucks like my guns, "buy once, cry once". I just have a lot to learn since I'm used to lowered or bagged trucks.
