Hey everybody, New guy here.. I've been lurking for a while but finally registered. I am in high school and got my first car recently. Its a 2006 tacoma TRD off road 4x4 access cab short bed in silver. I only plan on doing minor mods for now, since I am in school still I dont have a lot of money. plus fishing is my passion and priority. I tournament bass fish and needed something to tow my boat with. So far my taco has done great but I am looking to start doing some minor mods. I am going to do some plasti dipping with a friend soon on my emblems. I also have seen a TRD 3rd brake light cover in a smoke or blacked out color that I am interested in if anybody can tell me how to get a hold of one!?!? I don't think chrome looks good on a silver truck personally, so I am going the black route for now.. I want to plasti dip the chrome on my bumbers and I want to do a bed liner on my running boards. I have been looking around and getting some ideas too.

Welcome from TN! I come down to Greenville some to see my brother.

and almost same truck i have, but mine is an ’07.

I’m like you i don’t like chrome on the silver. I plasti dipped my badges 2 weeks after i got my truck, that was little over 2 years ago.

I had my rear bumper done, but it started pealing. I’m going to bed line it. if you use plasti dip on the rear bumper use 2 cans. I only used 1 and think it would have held up better if i used 2 cans.

I dipped my rear bumper and badges... Makes a huge difference.
    The chrome looked cheap IMO.
