    Hi Folks,

I've meant to join this forum for quite some time, but alas im just getting around to it now. I've had my 2001 tacoma sr5 extended cab 4 by 4 for about 5 years. Haven;t really done any modifications, and in general the truck is in great shape. I need to replace a muffler now, and I'm looking for some suggestions on what to buy. My muffler is cracked and obviously needs replacing. I have a fairly good intuitive sense of how to take it apart, but my google searches for the part have turned up so many choices im just not sure how to filter through them all. I definitely don't want to buy anything super fancy, just a replacement of what i currently have. Any help?

Thanks folks. Please respond to me here or email me directly at usadihenrickson.zach@gmail.com

    Cheers,
    Zach

Welcome to the forum........in my opinion, you should just buy the muffler of your choice and weld it into place.....catback systems are in all honesty a waste if money. I have a catback and i should have just replaced the muffler......any local shop can weld it into place. A muffler would also be less expensive than a catback.
