    Well when i bought it guy told me it needs valve seals.. after about a week or so i noticed oil in the air box :/ . I have put around 5000 miles on it since i got it now has 202xxx. Has got worse but not incredibly .. When you start it, it smoke some times really bad some times not at all. Had someone tell me it wasn't the rings the motor seemed strong and they thought it was something in the valve covers.. But that's the same guy who put 2 radiators on my moms Subaru in a week when it had a cracked head haha..

    Welcome to TW, fellow Virginian! I hail from Chesapeake, but I'm out in Franklin every now and then. Maybe I'll see you around!
    Try checking the PCV valve to see if it's intact and not filled with crud.
    Also if the engine was run on dirty oil for a long time, the oil return channels could be blocked, causing oil to be pulled back into the filter housing through the PCV valve.

    Update on my yo-yo ... Well burned a valve this past week.. got 2 new/used heads.. STILL has oil coming into air box and smokes when you first start it.. Rings? PLEASEEE tell me no lol
