Hey guys I'm new to tw. I recently bought a 2013 tacoma trd offroad. I'm looking to install a suspension lift ASAP. Wondering what people have to say about the toyotec ultimate lift 3 inch? Iv been told as long as it's under 3 inches it won't void warranty. Not sure if that's all true or not . Also wondering what tire size people are running with this lift. Id like to get 285s but iv heard there's slight rubbing?

    Any feedback/suggestions would be great

    Thanks

Welcome. Warranty issues usually depends on what goes wrong. If you lift and put bigger tires and then your AC goes out, they cant void it because of your mods. But if a wheel bearing or CV goes bad, then they could point at your lift and say, that is the cause and it wont be covered by the warranty. No matter how much lift you run.
Lots members here run the toytec ULK, and like it. 285s will rub. How much will depend on lift, wheel backspacing and offset, and how you wheel it. Some guys guy say they only needed minor trimming, some guys needed to do the cab mount chop, and some still rub!

I've heard nothing but good reviews on the ULK from toytec so I would go with that. You can fit 285's but you will have to trim a little bit near the front fenders but nothing a dremel cant fix. You will rub when turning full tilt near the cab mount but not a whole lot.

Yea that's what iv heard I just don't want to do a lot if trimming being the truck is brand new haha. Also heard it depends on back spacing and what not for rims. I'd prolly only go with 17 inch rims

Yeah the trimming isnt bad at all and it wont affect the function of the truck at all. Yup and make sure to get the right backspaced wheels which is typically 4.5" BS or a -12mm offset. Rim size makes a difference to but with 285s you will have to trim. Oh and you wont have to trim anything in the rear.

Yea I don't mind minor trimming. Is there a lift out there that will fit 285s without rubbing besides a 6 inch?

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Not really, some companys make a 4-4.5" drop bracket lift. Some people claim to have no rubbing with 285s and 3" of lift, there are to many factors to determine how much rubbing you will/will not have. Make sure you know what a cab mount chop (CMC) before you commit to 285s. I had to do alot of trimming and the cab mount chop, roughly 2.5" of lift, -10mm offset wheels, 285/70/17 duratracs.

There is Icon, Kings, Toytec ULK, OME, and spacers if you are a mall crawler only kind of guy but I would stay away from spacers
