New Taco owner from East TN

Hey everyone, I just bought my first Tacoma this weekend and so far not too many complaints. I found a used 2011 double cab 6-speed manual for a really good price and low miles.

The first thing that is bothering me about the truck is whenever I have the AC on a low setting, it seems like the fan blade is loose and rattling or something. Anyone else experience this problem or know how to fix it without taking it in to the shop?
Also, it looks like the previous owner put an aftermarket lock on the tailgate and it seems to be jammed. I had the shop take a look at it and they said they'd have to replace it and put a stock tailgate latch back on it. Help with this would also be appreciated.
