2014 Tacoma TRD 4x4

I am an Arizona rancher who just replaced my wife's 2012 Tacoma TRD 4x4 with a fully optioned 2014 Tacoma TRD 4x4.

Unlike her 2012, she noticed the new truck does not come equipped with compass, temp and homelink as did the 2012. We understand they are only now offered on the Limited model.

Does anyone know why Toyota would deelte this option in their high end Tacoma option package and if they will offer it as an aftermarket Toyota option?

Seems very shortsighted to us.

Congrats on the new truck!
Yeah there have been a few threads here already from 2014 buyers who have said the mirror is different (just a flip)
A few have reported it to their Toyota dealer since the window stickers state a different mirror that is actually in the truck.
Maybe start with your window sticker than call your dealer than Toyota's 1-800 number??
The more that complain will help all of you who were shorted the proper mirror especially if the window sticker claims one.
FWIW my 2013 has the temp, auto dimming, compass. No home link.

Nope. My 2013 Baja edition has it and it is a limited edition. My 2012 also had it but was a fully low padded so I am sure. I know Toyota is trying to go limited edition on most things so they probably figured they will use minor features like this to
