Small glitch with door handle

Love my truck. and actually it is named Candyman after it's candy apple red color. My wife likes to name important things in our life. We also have a RAV4 named Maurice. Candyman is a stock SR5 V6 with a matching camper shell. Have a small problem. The door handle on drivers side has stopped working. Need to get the door panel off. Is there a release on the window crank? It's the last thing and then I can figure what needs to be replaced to get it working. Thanks for the help.

 

You shouldnt have to remove the door panel. Look at this write up.
