Brand new member here, just signed up today and this is my first post!
I wanted a way to secure my pistol in the event that I cannot carry it on me for whatever reason. I have seen the lock mod but I wanted something cheaper and faster. I purchased a security cable from home depot for $6, had an extra padlock laying around. The only valuable thing I keep in my truck is my glock so this works for me!

Agree 100%, its purely for storage. If I had to walk into a no gun zone and leave it in the truck I would feel alot better with it locked up while Im away from it.

How strong are our trigger guards?

Nice set of dykes be able to chomp through the polymer?

    Or small hacksaw blade?

True but I would say 95% of criminals are looking for the quick smash & grab. It would take a long time to take a hacksaw to that theres no room to saw.

I've got a tool on my hip 24/7 that would make quick work of the poly trigger guard.

But my main concern is the cable is in the trigger guard, and the Glock has no grip safety. That's asking for an ND.

Looks good. For the quick window smash and grab-everything-you-can-see type of theft, I think that will do just the trick to saving you from having to buy another gun. Hopefully the jack ass doesn't try to lift it by the trigger though and send a round through your truck.
