I bought a 2013 off road to take my grandson fishing. Now we would like to use it to pull a small pop up trailer that will weight around 2000 to 3000 lbs. I'm wondering how well it will pull the trailer and how much it will change my gas mileage .

It'll pull it fine, driving conservatively you can expect 14-15 mpg, your results may vary.
