2014 Tocoma no outside air temp gauge

I picked up my 2014 Tocoma, 4 cyc, 5 speed, access cab (first new truck in 15 years) and there is no outside air temperature gauge, or compass. (I wonder who was the great engineer was who thought this was a good idea.) I opened to cover where should be and found a plug..Will a 2013 or 12 temp unit plug in and what about the compass? I think it was in the mirror? I know some of the other Toyota's cars have this equipment, What will work and what will not. Kirby

 

Lots of other posts on here about this same issue. I got one on eBay for mine. Looks great and plugs in to the factory plug. You will have to run a temp sensor. Mine came with the mirror. Bummer Toyota went this way it really made me have buyers remorse. But it's an easy fix
