Hello from New Mexico

its great to be alive... I am a toyota man all the way. I own a 74 fj40, 98 four runner, 99 taco, and now a 07 taco as well. I live right below the tallest mountain in New Mexico which is 11302 feet. I live at 6800 feet and right now outside it is 12 below. I use my 99 taco for running a winter trapline that is very hard on the truck. My 99 has winch bumper on front, light bar, tool boxes, and a heavy back bumper. I need these items on the trapline all the time. If I am not stuck I am not in the right spot. These trucks will do just about anything you want to do..... Some say they dont break,,,,well when they are road hard they will have some faults..If you want to really test a truck try a 150 mile trapline in some of gods greatest country. I make this trip everyday and man does it put it on a truck yee haww.

the big question

Now to everybody in taco land... My 99 tacoma is used as a truck everyday over some hard country and mountain roads. I broke a factory spring at 27000 miles replaced both with factory springs. At 85000 miles these springs were shot front and back. I had heard that old man emu were the cats meow of all springs so I put a set of them on. I have 117000 miles now and I just broke the main leaf on driver side. Does anyone know what are the best and most rugged springs that can be put on a tacoma. I have went thru 5 power steering pumps, one starter, and a rack and pinon and now 3 sets of springs go figure... I use my tacoma as a truck...Yee Haww
