I have an 09 Tacoma and I've been hearing a loud clunk from the front end and it's not the brake pads I heard brake pad noise since I've bought the truck. It happens usually while parking or uneven surface and turning don't see anything lose or worn.

I get this same clunking sound on the front passenger wheel area, inspected everything and still can't find anything wrong.

Check your mud flaps.... Mine split where they meet the body. This caused a clunk for me.

    Good Luck!

Nope not in 4wd and its not mud flaps I can clearly hear it from underneath...time to trade the clunker in ..unless I can fix it just afraid something might break while driving and cause an accident.

Nah it wont break i really think its the steering rack bushings. Almost seems silly to trade in a truck cause of a noise

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Place your hand on the (in my case the driver side) fender above the flare and push forward and pull backward. The fender wasn't bolted on tightly and would clunk going over bumps. Tightened it down and no more clunk.
