Hey all - sold my 1995 Tacoma a while back and picked up this new silver 2011 V6 Double Cab 4x4 - Loving it. Wishing these pizza cutters would wear out a little sooner because I really want to upgrade the wheels/tires.

I have been a member since 2008 but really wanted to post since this is actually my first new vehicle. Love this site

Used to drive 2003 Tunda. Didn't realize the seats are so low. Will take some getting used to. The engine is smooth and super quiet. The steering is very responsive and it corners well without leaning. The ride up front feels like a magic carpet ride but the ride in the back when the truck is unloaded is very bouncy. When I hit bumps the back of the trucks sways

Any suggestions how I can firm up the ride in the back without making the truck too stiff!

Hello. Just want to say thanks for all of the info on the yellow wire mod. Did not know why my new 2011 had a hard time getting to my treestand that my 2008 had no problem with. Still do not understand a open diff in low. I will post other mods that i have done to my truck as soon as i figure out how to post. My truck is a 2011 base regular cab in grey. It replaced a 2008 base regular cab in silver. It has been said that i do not like change but i did get a different color. TRAC makes the 2011 so much better. Thanks

New to all this shit lol

My first car was a handed down used maroon Honda Civic from my sister...demasculating much? I drove it all through high school. Sure it got good good gas mileage, but what man feels ok sitting in a maroon compact?

The summer after my freshman year in college, with the help of my parents, I got ahold of a 2004 2wd silver TRD PreRunner Double Cab. I now know what it feels like to be passionate about what you drive : )

My Tacoma is perfect for me, I can throw some friends in the cab, and some bikes/snowboards/surfboards in the bed. The recipe for a fun day.

I love my Taco and I cant wait to see where I take it and it takes me!

I will be taking delivery of my ordered 2012 Tacoma 4 x 4 Reg Cab soon. Very excited and happy to be on this site as a newbie. I bought my first Toyota pickup in 1984 and that was followed by a 95 Tacoma. This will be my 3rd and I can't wait to get this new rig and start personalizing it a bit. I will want your input from time to time I am sure.

First time poster, long time lurker...this site has been a great source of information and entertainment since I bought my truck. Thank you to everyone that has paved they way and documented all the mods (as well as the mistakes), the threads on TW have been a crucial source for tire + rim purchase decisions, suspension info etc.

Great community, hope to be able to contribute some day

Hey Dan, I am looking at the same tire set up for this winter (studded duratracs), what size did you go with and did you put them on the stock wheels?

    Hi all,

I've owned jeeps since 1989; 1989 Cherokee, 1990 Cherokee, 1998 Grand Cherokee and a 1998 Wrangler all purchased new with the exception of the Grand Cherokee. Just broke the mold and purchased a 2012 Auto V6 with Offroad and Tow Package plus a TRD Cat-back Exhaust in December. The only color in stock was magnetic metallic gray; not a bad color but it is an exact match to my other vehicle (09 Avalon).
