    Hello all,

New member here in Maine! I am the original owner of a 2003 SR5 Xtra Cab 3.4L V6 4WD and everything stock with 140k miles. I joined as I need to give my Taco a little love and do the following work:

    1) Suspension Upgrade (all original factory components still in place)
    2) Front Brake Upgrade or Replace (I am sick of replacing calipers, on my 3rd set)
    3) Rebuild rear brakes (originals still in place)
    4) Replace original exhaust (any suggestions)
    5) New rear bumper
    6) New gas tank skid plate (hard to find one for a 1st gen taco)
    7) All new belts
    8) Troubleshoot AC
    9) Change all case oils
    10) Coolant Flush and change out

Should I be looking to replace anything else that folks have seen go with this many miles? I am looking to put at least another 160k miles on her before even considering a new ride. BTW my other fun vehicle is a 1974 CJ5 Jeep with a 304 V8 that I restored from the ground up in high school.

Any feed back on anything above would be great!

    Thanks

    Glenn

Great truck! I had an '03 TRD SR5 4x4 extra cab that I traded in for my '14. Damn good truck, I put 175K on it before trade in. What's wrong with your A/C? Mine had an issue where it only blew from the outside dash and floor vents.

I think the issue maybe caused by lack of attention on my part. Two summers ago I notice it stopped blowing cold air and since I live in Maine it was not a huge priority for me. Well, I believe it may have seized up due to lack of refrigerant (if I understand correctly the refrigerant oil acts as the lube for the compressor also) as I cant turn the pulley and it eventually broke the belt.

A shop recommended trying to recharge it and see if that solves the issue but I think that would be a waste of money and a new belt. I am open for options but I think I will pose that question in the appropriate thread.
