Well I recently had to get rid of my 06 Taco due to the engine blowing up! Just to clear the air it was my dads fault cause the truck only had 120,000 on it. It decided to go out on me right after i put the 3' revtek lift with 18x9 monster XDs complimented with some 33" Baja MTZs. Had much more on the truck but I'm not posting this talk about it.lol. BUTTT i will say my first truck was a 98 tacoma that my dad bought brand new back in the gap, and that puppy ran me till she had 398,000 miles on it. Needless to say I'm die hard tacoma/toyota fan so therefore i just purchased a 2014 taco and i already have my 5100 billies coming in this week. I plan to make this taco my own. I will say i want homer tacos colored matched raptor style grille more than anything on this damn earth. lol
Well anyways i have been on here for a few months and its by for the greatest website in my opinion and I'm very thankful for everyones input and enthusiasm on all the different forums and topics.

The oil pressure light came on and I had no idea it was on. Long story short it is an oil pressure light and he figured he could use it for a day with the light on and not get oil to the engine. Which we all know doesn't quite work like that so in return the yota threw a rod.

How about posting up some pics of the 06 and the 14..

I find it hard for anyone in this day and age to drive a vehicle with the oil pressure light on, same goes for water warning lights...it isn't rocket science that these are there for the safety of the vehicle....when things start blinking on the dash, it ain't Christmas...

Is this why you are sporting a new 2014? Or did you buy it on your own?

And, again, what is the gap?

I presume gap == typo for day, "back in the day"

gap-day, letters are awful far apart on the keyboard, but I do agree, your presumption appears to fit...

Well someone bought the truck for 5500 and my dad wanted to buy me an new one due to the warranty. I wanted the 06 honestly cause now I'm caught up in being super careful with this one. Where as I didn't mind getting a few scratches on my 06.

And I'm in lafayette, louisiana! By the swamp!
