    Sad day last week. My station wagon was hit so hard by someone running the light that it turned into a new Tacoma 4x4 TRD sport. I know some of you are wondering what magic unicorn granted that wish, and was it random to which new ride the defunked wreck had become, but I assure you there have been several years of pining, cars dot com searching, craigslist trolling that helped shape the universe to this most glorious conclusion.

    You see, before becoming a mini-van driving, station wagon owning father of three, I was a farm boy, raised on dirt bikes, trucks and more dirt...and cleaning stalls, but we try to block out the bad parts. I was a Ford man, through and through. but as time wore on, I began to see the error of my ways. The gratuitous over use of space, the gas guzzling and all that with a surprisingly rising price tag.

    I would have to say it would my friend's 80's 4runner, with 480k + on it that clued me into an important thing...toyota's don't die, quit or hate you for looking at another woman. So when some French kid, late for his first audition at a major network here in LaLaland ran the red and hit the silver bullet (no, not injured, just stiff, thank God, and the kids were not in the car, thank God again), I saw my opening and now have joined the ranks for the likes of you, dear reader. So here's to the dirt bike Sundays, the snowboarding weekends, the 4 wheeling Saturdays and XM radio while in LA traffic.
