    Hello all! :)

I just bought my 2nd Toyota truck last night. WOOHOO! :D

Flash back 11 years ago: I purchased a 1st generation Tacoma prerunner single cab pickup, a lovely crimson beauty - bought it new in '03 after secretly giving up on the IVF my wife and I were undergoing (seven + years w/o success :(). Anyway, Feb. 2004 my wife and I are driving from our home to OKC where we will do the transfer and attempt what we had at that particular time vowed to be our last try at IVF and the hopes of pregnancy. Low and behold, 7 3/4 months later we are proud parents of a beautiful baby girl we call Callie Drew (girl has her daddy wrapped)! But I digress, the months passed before her birth and as our goal of parenting came closer to a realization, I knew I would have to give up the truck I had coveted and loved for some time.

It has taken 10 years to purchase the double cab prerunner that sits in my garage tonight. My wife and I have owned 2 camry sedans and 1 Honda accord during the interim, but I always longed to own that truck. The new one I have - let me just say it has been worth the wait. I love it, would have loved it more had it been the red I desired, but pyrite mica is growing on me by the minute. And it feels good to finally have the truck I have always wanted. In all actuality, the truck is by far superior in features and size compared to that first prerunner although you never get over your first love.

There you have it, my first post. Hopefully, you didn't mind wading through all of it.

I hope to learn from others here on this board and hopefully be a positive contributor to others in need of its helpful uses.

Thanks, Kevin. You live in "Hotter than Hell 100" country. Been down there for that bicycle ride once along time ago. Man, I don't know how half the field didn't die that year. It's a miracle I survived that heat and you'd think I would know a little bit about heat being from Oklahoma.

Hey Patrick, I have it bottled up in the garage. I haven't sold my accord which is parked in my drive directly behind the truck in the garage and my wife's Camry is taking up the other bay in the garage. As soon as the weekend gets here I will get it out and try to do just that.
