Hey guys I just bought a 2008 Tacoma sr5. It has 115000 miles on it. Before I bought it from the dealership, I went to kbb.com and they said the dealer price was $19500 and I ended up paying $20999 for it. Starting price was 22999. So do you guys think I paid too much for it based on what you may have paid for your truck? The dealer put aftermarket wheels on the truck (XD Series) and it was in good condition. Thanks

no TRD OffRoad or TRD Sport package?

kbb has been off lately so I have no clue, hopefully someone will chime in but since you've already dropped the bills on it, it's kind of hard to recant if it was :p

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
[IMG] I think you did OK. Now would be a good time to change out the diff lubes and change the plugs...for starters. It's up to you to take care of it. I like. Congrats!

It has no Trd or off road package. It's just 4 door 5ft bed.

If you want an honest answer, yeah I think you overpaid. But at this point, no reason to worry about it. Just enjoy the truck.

I have a 2005 trd offroad sr5 with 74000 miles and the dealer wanted it. They offered my $17,000 trade in on it. Just to give you somewhat of a reference.

Not sure how Cali is on prices vs mileage.
    I have a 09 sr5 acc cab 4x4 with a 3" lift and 70k miles 285/75/16 duratracs and ballistic offroad wheels.
My wheels are a little less expensive than the Xds.
If I were to sell my truck today I'd be looking to get around 22k for it.
Hope that helps and gives a little prespective.

I just did a search for my '04 and clean retail is worth 15k. I actually gained money by having only 118k on the odo :D

Anything double cab seems to go for considerably more than other cab models. That being said i think you did fine. Guys comparing what they paid for there access cabs are comparing two different things. I know i bought an access cab because i couldn't touch a double cab for the price i paid for my access cab. Oh and you're 4x4, my buddy paid about that much for the same truck in 2wd with similar miles. I wouldnt stress about the miles either since there's a guy on here who has 350k and counting on his 2nd gen v6.

I don't know what it ultimately sold for(i know it sold within 2 weeks of being on the lot), but the dealer I traded my Taco in at last May had my truck listed at $22.5k. That was a 2009 TRD Sport Access cab 4wd. With a lift, larger tires, different wheels, other crap, etc.

Meh, don't sweat it man. If you ask this question on a forum like this, people will come out or the woodwork to tell you about the deal they supposedly got. I can tell you that a buddy bought an '09 DC Off-road for $21k last year with 80,000 miles on it, but it was a manual and he drove about 500 miles round trip to get it. Sounds like you paid an average price, so as long as you're happy with it, don't worry about it.
