Hello all, I just picked up an 03 Tacoma TRD SR5 today after years of wanting one. It's a nice little truck and seems to have been very well cared for. This truck is my first venture outside of the jeep crowd but I'm looking forward to learning a lot. The plan is for this truck so serve DD duties as well as a mild wheeling/camping rig and my Grand Cherokee will still serve as a weekend warrior on the rough trails. Enough talk, on to the pics...

And if anyone's interested, here's the Jeep. Waggy d44 front w/ spool, Ford 8.8 rear w/ spartan locker. 35x12.50 MTZ's

    Enjoy!
Makes me feel a little sad --looks exactly like my '01 that I just traded in last month.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have no doubt I'll find more ideas here that I'll know what to do with. My only plans for now (famous last words) are sliders and some decent shocks at some point. Possibly a spray in bed liner as well. We'll see how long that list lasts though

Thanks. This one was definitely the cleanest out of the 3 trucks I was considering. 140k on the clock and I got it for a little over 13k

Thanks, I felt good about it. She was heading for the auction block next week too!

In mod - related news... I'm hoping to knock the gray wire mod this afternoon.

Nothing exciting but I pulled the drop in bed liner out today to freshen it up. Once the liner was out I found a magnetic hide-a-key box with a working key in it (dealer only had the one key), so that was a nice bonus.

Here's what was waiting under the liner.

I didn't get a before but it was a little faded and looked like paint or something may have been spilled. Anyways, here's after.

I guess I should probably take this somewhere other than my intro thread

Well its seems no Taco is complete without the gray wire mod, so I knocked that out today and it worked like a charm.

The headlights in the Taco were getting pretty cloudy, so some new ones went in today.

Found out real quick that the previous owner JB-welded one of the turn signals in place after breaking one of the tabs. He actually did a pretty good job as far as cheap fixes go!

In an effort to pick up some mall parking lot cred, I got the front two windows tinted today to match the backs. Came out nice and it's already more comfortable inside.
Other than that, still stock as a rock.
    Flame away haters!!
