Camera wiring adapter??

Found this in my glove box. Anybody's truck come with one of these? If so, has anyone used it to install a back up camera?

 

My truck came with this. It is my understanding that the adapter is used so you can see thru your backup camera when your tailgate is down. I would imagine that your truck has a backup camera already. Try playin with the button on your rearview mirror.

 

No. It's a blank plug.

It's purpose is to protect the circuit when you remove the tailgate for whatever reason.

I definitley do not have a backup camera. Sorry about that. And thanks for the info.
