    Howdy;
I have been a Toyota truck owner since 1985. Also had 3 Tacoma's. Never thought of looking for a forum.
I just traded to a 2006 Tacoma access cab.
The stock toyota radio is junk. Not much FM reception up here.
    I picked up a Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS.
Waiting for a dash d-din dash kit.
I started to solder the harness adapter to the Pioneer harness.
I looked for help and found this site.
My adapter harness has an orange/black wire???
Then I have read all the issues with the dimmer
What is the best thing to do?? Just forget the dimmer wire on the Pioneer harness which is orange/white!!
I will be checking this forum every day!!
    Great job..

Welcome! I've done a few radio installs now and never use the dimmer. Just left it dangling, powerless.

I am new to This forum...... but not new to forums!!
I tried all the searches for 4 days on here.
I still could not get a definite answer to my question.
I will take my question over to the correct forum spot!! Just that I have a truck without a radio right now!!!!!!!!

I live up in the Berkshire Hills of Mass.
I even delivered Norman Rockwell's groceries when I was in high school.
Had Toyota trucks since 1985...cars & Rav-4's too!!!!
    Present one being:
2006 Tacoma access cab, TRD off road package, in Grey with an Extang Trifecta tonneau cover.
And a Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS waiting to be installed. Only had this one since Thursday last week.
    Photo to come..
Happy to find this forum, as there is a lot of info on here.
