    Good morning to all:
My name is Larry from Birmingham, Alabama and this is my first ever posting, not sure I am doing this correctly, but here goes: My 2006 Tacoma has recently been difficult to move back into H2 after switching into L4. Not sure what could be causing this malfunction other than the switch itself. I did the normal movement in reverse and back forward several times, but system continued to remain in L4, but did finally release. Switch would move from L4 to H4 to H2 but warning on the dash continued to show L4. Any suggestion, advise will be greatly appreciated...Thanks for reading..

This ^^^^ and try doing it with both the engine running, and with just the key on.

Also, I know this may seem like a dumb question: Is it MECHANICALLY sticking in 4 low? Or is just the INDICATOR saying you are in 4 low, but your transfer case is actually in 2 high/4 high.

What part of Birmingham are you in? I may be able to come up and see if I can figure it out if it is stuck in 4 low, and you can't get it out.
