New here, Just got my first truck this past week and I have never felt so comfortable in a vehicle in all my life. Proud to be owner of a Tacoma. Would like some general insight about my truck, as I am almost as new to the truck as I am to this site.
    Thanks,
    Yocatoma

Thanks, got lucky finding one with really low miles, I'm about to take it to my mechanic friend of mine who works on Toyotas. But I was wondering, Do these have many standard problems at this mileage? For instance, it tends to be kinda shaky at 70 mph but stabilizes at around 80. I don't really like taking it on the highway anyway but on the way back from picking it up from previous owner I noticed it doing this.

You might need to replace shocks of leaf springs. My 96 4x4 is stable at 75 (which is the fastest Ive ever gotten it) on the Interstate. Sometimes it is a little iffy in turns but it is stable on the Interstate. I hope this helps.

Cool thanks! I'll look into that. Was thinking alignment but I don't really know these trucks well enough yet. Probably won't be driving much interstate between now and when I take it to my mechanic friend anyway. But I will mention what you said about the leaf spring, appreciate your help!

It could be the alignment, hard to tell not seeing or driving the truck, what ever it is I hope you find it and work it out.
