Hello all, I just joined the forum after purchasing a double cab 2014 Tacoma with the off-road package. I don't plan to get too crazy with modifications but I like to join these types of forums to see what others are doing with their vehicles.

My last 4x4 was a 1997 ZR2 pickup which was alright, but it was a regular cab and I needed more room. Before that it was a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, which I loved, but I couldn't use it to haul ATVs and stuff. During that time my daily driver was a 1997 BMW M3 and then a 2013 Ford Taurus SHO. So I've kind of been all over the board in terms of vehicle recently but I plan to stick with the Tacoma for a while.

The only plans for the Tacoma are 5100 shocks all around to level it out, a soft/removable tonneau cover, and maybe a couple of small cosmetic changes like blacking out chrome parts and tinting the windows more.

Here are pics of the other vehicles I mentioned -

1997 ZR2 (did pretty well off-road but questionable reliability)

2000 Jeep Cherokee (absolute beast off-road, built it from the ground up)

1997 / E36 BMW M3 (pretty quick and amazing handling)

2013 Ford SHO (ran 12-second 1/4 miles but broke down all the time)

Welcome from a neighbor. Those Ford SHO models are sweet, and fast.

Yes, the speed is the only thing I'll miss about that car. It was putting out close to 440HP and 500TQ with just an ECU tune from Livernois Motorsports. It definitely surprised a lot of people who decided to try their luck at stoplights..."did I just get smoked by a TAURUS, what the?!" :p
