Hello everybody. New member here...but not new to Tacoma's or Toyota's.
    Have been lurking for years.

Had a basic, 2006 4-cyl access cab that got flooded during hurricane Ike in 2008 along with a 2007 Hummer H3. After the storm the H3 was toast but the Tacoma cranked right up until I could get the insurance agent to total it (water in the tranny, etc). Actually drove that access cab for 150 miles with salt water in the cup holders, etc., before it was hauled off on the hook.

Got a new 2009 dlb cab TRD Offroad 2x4 in Nov. 2008 to replace it and love it.

Hey Bruce. I will be riding around Galveston this weekend with a kayak trailer in tow. Hard to miss if you are out and about.

I'm an avid fisherman around the island and offshore. Also 4th generation born-on-island (BOI). More of a powerboat advocate but have to hand it to the kayakers...they are a hardy bunch. Seen them in the worst weather in west bay around 8-mile road and Sportsman's in some pretty heavy chop.

I'm Kirwin (O'Connell) alum '69 but wife is BHS class of 70.

I like that area and grew up wade fishing on Sportsman's Road and at the very end of Homer road off of 10 mile. I actually made my wife paddle out to North Deer Island to propose this past December!
