    Hi there,

Last year I bought a brand new 2013 RAV4. The 800lbs towing capacity, flimsy metal, etc. didn't really impress us. We liked the 2012 and before RAVs, and didn't realize that since 2013 the RAV turned into a car instead of a SUV.

On Monday night I did an almost even exchange for a certified pre-owned 2011 Tacoma PreRunner SR5 4x2 double cab with the 4 liter V6, and the towing package. It's awesome! I'm happy to finally have my dream truck.

In the future I'm looking to replace the factory stereo with a double din touch screen, add a camper shell or tonneau cover, and have lot's of fun with it.

welcome , I did a similar thing. 2007 rav4 to 2013 Tacoma. my motivation was that we purchased a camper that the rav was way under rated to tow

It's funny that you mentioned the RAV4's turning into a car. A few weeks ago when I went to order my 2014 Tacoma, I found out that all of the new RAV4's are only being made with the I4... Before I bought my wife's 2008 RAV4, I test drove one with an I4. It was pathetically underpowered and couldn't get out of it's own way. Short of adding a turbo to it, which they didn't, there's no way the new I4's are that much more powerful. What a disgrace! Heck, even my wife said to me that when she's due for a new vehicle, there's no way she'll even consider the RAV4 like that.

new 13 rav4 with 6 speed tranny pull good. power to weight ratio has more power then my double cab tacoma with v6. I did like the v6 they had in the 2012 and earlier ravs.
