I've been looking for a decent toyota truck forum since I've bought my truck and came across this great group. Well done, folks!

My newest addition is something that I dreamt of having back in high school. I was searching for a truck as a second vehicle and got this beauty a few months ago.

She's got a replacement engine with 150k or so on it and 300k on the body. It has a few creaks and moans like a vehicle of this age would but it runs pretty well. I'm taking good care of it and have room it in my garage along with my daily driver.

I've got a few things I want to tweak on it as I get the time and money and this forum will be my first stop.

Up first: it can seem like the throttle response isn't there in 2nd sometimes. Foot on the floor and it just slowly creeps up in rpms. Not quite sure what would lead to that but will be exploring the forum to see of other folks have come across and solved the same issue.

Welcome from NJ. Awesome truck! I boughten 90 a little over a year ago and am slowly building it up. They are great trucks and will last for ever. I have 261k on the original engine, trans, and body.
