New owner in Atlanta

Hello everybody my name is Dane and I'm super excited to finally own a Tacoma! Took possession today of a 2010 MGM TRD Sport double cab with 45k miles.

Just bought the Toyota roof rack and looking to get the windows tinted and my HU installed but I want to keep the steering wheel controls and BT if at all possible. Also want a leveling kit so any info on any of this would be great!

I'm new to Tacomas but not new to modding or Toyota's. My previous car was a bagged Scion xB that I had for 7 years.

And the xB

You have no idea how nice it is not avoiding dips and pot holes everywhere! Haha

Just installed a ProComp 2" level/lift kit 2 days ago and love it so far. People on this site frown on spacer lifts. But if you rarely go off road, or not hardcore about it, I think you'll be fine.

Also, welcome to TW. Where your money will disappear.

Hey thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Superdavert- the leveling kit was just the front strut spacers right? The rear stayed the same? Or did you add blocks? I was looking at a 2.5" spacer lift and with this being 2wd it will never see off-road, at the most a trail but nothing crazy to fully compress the front suspension.

Also while giving the Taco a once over I saw this...anybody know what it could be about? Doesn't seem like a big reduction in payload capacity

Oh and I got a nice surprise this morning. Hit unlock 3 times on the Toyota keyless entry and the truck started haha. I didn't even know it had a remote start!

Mounted the Yeti in my bed. Was surprised that the actual bed floor is the plastic liner. Also ordered the leveling kit and TRD bedside decals since the original owner decided to take them off. Still loving the truck

Oh, does anyone know what the sticker in my door jamb means?

It's got an aftermarket DEI remote start wired to the factory keyless entry. Basically hit unlock 4 times in a row and it starts the truck. Then you just put the key in the ignition, turn it to ON and hit the brake. It's gonna come in handy this winter for sure.

Dunno why the previous owner removed the TRD bedside decals but I found some really nice ones on eBay from Towervinyldecalsusa the only seller I've found that offers a 3 layer decal that looks just like stock.
