Hey all, I am 40 yrs old have had 2 yotas. A 01 Tundra that was just sweet, ended up selling 2 yrs later due to need for 1 ton truck. My DD is 96 Taco, 2.4,5spd,2wd, just turned 233k today. All i can say is the Taco is the best $ ever spent.
Reason I joined is that I have 2 boys nearing driving age, would like to build a nice older yota pickup 4x4 for each. We are a 4x4 family, have built a couple nice samurais. I still have 1 for hunting use.
I am here to learn and ask pesky questions.
Thanks

Thats an 87 sammy I rebuilt back in 98-2000. Bought it for 300 with a spun rod bearing, very clean body. Rebuilt motor with all new internals, isky cam, DT headers. Had a 4.16 tcase,5.12's front rear locked. Complete bedlined inside/out, race seats with 5 point harness. It was alot of fun.
This something like I want to do with my boys on a Toyota 4x4.

Dont have any pics of hunting Zuk or Taco yet.

This one , was my wifes. Frame stretched 18" and had a 22r/with an auto tranny, stock tcase and stock diffs welded. I think the 22r came out of 79 p/u and tranny a 77 Cressida.....just your basic junkyard dog.

SS, that one was running 31" at the time that photo was taken on a homemade SPOA, later on I put 33" on it. With the 22r in it, it was like a hotrod.
