Tacoma 4x4 struts and shocks compatible with 2014

New to site and my first post to TW. Lots of good info and want to learn more to get most out of my 2005 truck.
Want to change out my struts and shocks for my 2005 4x4. Now is the 2014 struts /shocks compatible with my 2005? Help...

 

2005 and 2014 are on the same platform, so yes they will fit as long as both trucks have the same amount of lug nuts.

Pretty much any shoak from 05-15 wil fit as long as it is 4wd compatible and made for the taco.

 

Thanks with reply, I will look into this. I've called Parts/Dealership and did not get straight answers to my question with them. Keep hearing it has different part # , but not sure if it will fit until you try ... Thanks thou... will get back with you after Friday if it does fit.

 

Incorrect. 2WD and 4WD struts and shocks are exactly the same, and if he has a 6 lug, it MUST be a 6 lug shock. So no, not ALL 05-15 Tacoma shocks will work.

 

Does anyone know if installing 2014 TRD struts (Bilstein) and shocks will make my 05 tacoma uneven. I've heard that the struts and shocks are a little longer than the 05.

If yes, will that make the truck awkward looking from its original. Both vehicle have 6 lugs. 4x4 , tacoma so I know i'm good there. thanks with feed backs.

My 05 struts are stock and what I want to install is Bilstein TRD product?? Probably a stiffer ride due to heavier springs thou??
