DIY Camper

Hello all,

I am planning an after-retirement long trip to Central and South America.
I am considering an SUV or a truck ( Tacoma of course ) with a self made camper.
An SUV will be easier to set up but less comfortable, I think!

The camper will be basically permanent, kind of an extended cap with over cabin extension for a bed.

Now to the question that start bothering me a few days ago.

DO I NEED SOME KIND OF REGISTRATION FOR THAT ? ! ?
