    2002 Tacoma Doublecab SR5, V6
Hello- I just joined the forum tonight after reading many great posts over the last 6 months or so.

Last August I was finally able to get my first Tacoma! I had bought a subaru wagon after having my first kid and had no plans of getting rid of it. A family friend passed away and I was asked if I had any interest in the truck. All I was told was that it was a Tacoma, I almost didn't go check it out and man I am glad I did. I live in Maine and the truck was located a few miles from the coast. When I drove to look at it I pictured an old 2-door, 2 wheel drive that would be all rusted out. Got there and the truck was a 2002, double cab SR5 with a V6 and an auto transmission, matching ARE cap with bars. Truck had no body rust, only a little on the rear bumper and the frame had been replaced already. Best part is that it only had 80k miles

In the end I sold the subaru and got the truck. Couldn't be happier to finally own a Tacoma.

For the last few months Ive spend many evenings by the wood stove reading posts on all sorts of topics. What an awesome resource!
