What's up TW. I'm new here, obviously; not new to forums though. I'm joining before I even own a Tacoma...I recently test drove one and if all goes as planned I'll be purchasing it this Wednesday, 2/4/15. It is a 2013 AC TRD OR 4x4 with 23,000 miles on the clock. I've never wanted a Toyota, never considered a Toyota, always told myself I refuse to buy a Toyota. I was always of the 'MERICA mindset. I'm not that old, in college, so young and dumb..? I don't know what made me think to test drive one but damn it seriously blew me away just on the test drive. I have only owned GM since I was 16, and given a Wrangler when I turned 16. What lead me to my decision in a Taco... 16: 2004 Wrangler, 19: 1997 Chevy K1500, 20: 2007 Chevy Silverado 4x4 and 2014 Chevy Sonic, 21: 2012 Chevy Cruze.

Comparing the Taco to the Silverado I was amazed. I don't need a truck for "truck stuff." I like to get a little muddy but as far as towing/hauling the most I'll haul is my books for school and maybe help some buddies move. Looking forward to getting the Taco off the beaten path and learning a lot from everyone here.

Well god damn I may as well just write an essay out of this...

I do want to end with this. No, I am not a spoiled little shit. I actually live with my fiance, work full time, and am a full time college student. I love cars/trucks, hence the multiple cars in a short period of time. Hoping I can stick with the Taco for good...

Nice post. Nothing wrong with the "MERICA mindset". Fortunately, as you probably know, much of the Tacomas are produced in San Antonio, Texas. A little detail that made me feel good about the purchase anyway. Good luck with the future transaction and welcome to the site!:D

Well. FML. Salesperson called to tell me the they sold the truck last night. I'm now looking at a brand New 15 double cab trd off road. Kinda upset about that one getting sold but it is what it is.

Well the 15 ended up falling through too, getting super frustrated with this.

Found 2 2011s I'll be looking at tomorrow. I'm determined to get a taco to see what it's like outside of this Chevy world I live in.
