Hi! Currently researching, debating and shopping 2015 Tacomas. Your posts and comments have been very helpful, though sometimes they raise more questions than they answer :)

    Thanks

Thanks for the welcome! I am looking at the SR5 or the TRD; long bed, double cab, preferably with tow package. Currently I use a 2001 F250 for any 4x4 activity but it's showing it's age.

Any thoughts you all have on deciding between the SR5 and TRD would be greatly appreciated. Getting straight answers from dealers when you are on the lot is troublesome and I get the "little lady" condescending bullshit most of the time. As my boyfriend says "When buying a car, you are going to get screwed somewhere down the line, its just deciding how much you can live with". I will admit, I know nothing about vehicles, hence all the research and thread trolling.

I'd be using it for regular travel, camping, multi-day road trips and about once a month getting onto jeep trails or forest service roads/trails. There is nasty bentonite clay out here so things can get pretty slick or really rocky in the mountains. Additions will include a cap and grill guard. Elk and mule deer have a tendency toward kissing bumpers in my neighborhood. Thanks again.

DCLB is the way to go!

    Assuming it's a 4WD since you're in Wyoming?
