Hello, my name is Doug. I live near Raleigh NC. In my mid 50s. I bought my first Tacoma in 2006 for my kids to drive to school. (Also so that I could have a truck to borrow). When they graduated the truck came home, and my wife gave me the ultimatum that there were too many cars in the driveway. I kept the truck and sold my SUV. Can't live without a truck. After a few years I decided I really missed the 4 wheel drive on my SUV so I just bought a new Tacoma 4x4 access cab manual. Since I'm pretty sure I'll have this for the next 7-8 years minimum I decided it was time to embrace it, so here I am.

Nothing big planned for a while. Short term plans... reinforcing the tailgate as I sometimes haul an 800 pound motorcycle (tired of my custom cut plywood sheet), getting a toolbox. and doing something to fix that horrible back seat that they "improved" from my 2007 model. The back of the access cab is no longer good for hauling anything. The old back seat was brilliant...a flat platform but could fit people in emergencies, which is where I will go with my modifications. Nothing major....yet.
