The 4WD computer is behind the glove box. You could check there to see if there's something obvious.

Does it beep or just flash at you?

Mine has no issues going into or out of 4LO as long as I'm stopped and in neutral.

Does the regular 4wd light stay lite solid? have you tried to put it in reverse and move slightly to get it out of 4 lo? I gotta do that shit sometimes.

If truck is actually in 4hi, turn knob to 4hi, turn off truck and restart truck. Hopefully it thinks that is correct and 4wd light stops blinking. Then shift out of 4wd.

Probably an actuator issue? There's a few threads somewhere about rebuilding/repairing/cleaning the actuators

Are you sure? Can you feel the lower gearing? If 4lo was flashing that means it never actually entered 4lo.

Ouch. I would put the switch in 4lo, turn truck off, turn it on, do 4wd and 4lo still blink?

How do you haul it off I tryed to take him off but seems to be stuck in with a c clip on the in side of transfer case or some thing and I don't got a jack or any thing eather so I'm just lying under neathe her on a concert floor is there a trick to pop it off ? I was talking to Toyota yesterday and they told me to be able to take the back actuator off you have to split the transfer case ? But I'm not 100% sure

    Just a suggest.
Try disconnecting the battery, turn on lights and touch unconnected batt cables together to drain any residual.
Turn switch to 2wd, then reconnect battery.

Space heater in the garage to warm it up?

If nothing else you can drop the front drive shat.
Still be in 2Low, but more steerable to get to a garage.

It was all warm to the touch yesterday because I drove for two hours home with her stuck in 4lo and then left the the truck running for a half hour in neutral in the garage just to make sure any thing wasn't froze
