Just traded my 2001 Tacoma in on a 2009.
The radio turns on and off on it's own ------------- called service, they said it is a known issue -------salesman said he was hearing it for the first time, acted surprised ---------go figure!

had to order the truck ---------- came in with a goofy looking underpowered subwoofer --------------- I took delivery anyway.
I'm having the obnoxious power ranger looking sub woofer removed.

not off to a good start with this truck.

my 2001 is looking pretty good at this point.

I do like the extra access doors, and factory bedliner.

yup pretty common on the 09s mine started doing it last week, radio lights flicker and it turned off when I closed the glove box lol. Will get a replacement when I go to maintenance.

No problems with my 08 but just changed the radio out yesterday. For $200 it is the best money I spent on the truck yet.

    Here's a photo of the Sub-Woofer
On top of looking like a toy, and hogging limited cab space, it is woefully underpowered.
