Newb Question

Ok I searched for this but couldn't find anything. I hope this is the right place to ask this. Anyway what is rep? How do you get it? How do you give it. How do you know you have it? And any other info you can give me. Thanks.

 

Look under your pic to the right there is a scale, thought buble, and what looks to be a hazzard sign. Click the scale located all the way to the left.
Rep is reputation, given when somone does something good or is helpful. You can also get negative rep. Leave a name when you give rep.
The green boxes under you name indicate how much you have. Pass your mouse over the geen boxes and a saying will pop up. You can check your rep by going to user Cp, click it then scroll all the way down and you will see peoples comments. Hope this helped.
