hello, from new member eric

hi, first post. love my new tacoma,have owned it for one month (3,000 miles on it already) im a union millwright(we work on turbine engines and do precision tuneing of other large equipment in power plants, steel mill etc..) great fule economy, getting around 26 mpg. no mods yet, i get kinda obssesive with things like this , so there will be plenty to blog about in the future. anyways, just saying hello.

ps. anyone that can give me advice on navagation of this site would be appriciated. was going to buy a new filter and change my oil today, i put air filter in the search and it didnt really bring me to a thread about filters. thanks

yea im sure i will be on here alot, like i said i get obsessive and love to take stuff apart.

 

what is the best replacement air filter and is synthetic worth it?

 

also while im at it can you recomend a bed cover?

 

i use a K&N air filter, and when i worked at a car dealership all the mechanics there said that the only thing about synthetic oil is that you can wait longer between changes. So i just use whatever they use at the local toyo dealer. dont know much about bed covers, sorry

 

thanks, running out to buy one now(kand n) was also going to remove the secondary charcoal filter today, have you done this?

 

K&N i do not ever put those filters anywhere close to my truck

 

what do you recommend jw?

 

AFE AEM dad never really like K&N didnt think they were really filtering anything because so much air is going thru them. that meeans everything else goes thru my point of view

 

i would even say just keep stock filters
