New here but wanted to pass the word........My '02 is Toyota # 13 and the 3rd p/u.....After "losing it" for 11 days ( they gave us a Prius to use, wife wants a new one:rolleyes:)....they returned it Friday........WOWW...how many other companies will do a "frame swap"???? Plus ,they priced a "shock package" I could not beat ( I priced HARD on the "Net" and they matched)..plus I finally gave in and did the Ball joint recall too......Whole front end is new,new rear suspension, brake lines plus E-brake cables..then they do the little extras, new coolant including block,R&R a/c and recharge....even cleaned and re-oiled my K&N filter;)........

Glad to find a "Taco" forum and will try to pass "learning experiences" as they happen...

    tacoholic,

the newest recall is to "inspect" and either;prep, reseal and paint or replace the complete frame for '00 up to '04's .....my dealer had 3 going on with mine and two being crushed ( older models)....one of our other drivers has his over at another dealer for the "frame swap" and my neighbor is getting the "prep/seal' deal....Frames are trucked from Texas on Flatbeds then fitted to our cab/beds.....I can not say enough about the "Dealer" keeping me in the "loop".....my letter to Toyota is in the draft stage as we speak........

Did anyone ask what dealership this was? That is freakin' awesome. Never heard of such a thing... Frame Swap. That sounds labor intensive. So I guess Toyota would wanna do it and get reimbursed through Corp. Nice move and good choice of dealership.
