Well I have searched high and low on the web for a good Tacoma message board and I have arrived here (not before spending quite a bit of time at TTORA and CT) and this seems to be the best one out of the three. Honestly the only reason I stuck around those other two is because they had a seperate "Vehicles" classified section and I was in the market for a Tacoma.

Well now I have all but decided on the truck I'm going to get. Right now I drive a 2004 Accord coupe V6 6sp manual. Its a fun car, but nowhere near the fun of my previous cars (fox mustangs, LS1 camaros, etc). I had this car and a 2004 ZX10R that was heavily modded but was stolen a few months ago. Now that I am leaving for the Air Force and ASBC shortly I need something more suited to moving cross-country multiple times yet still offers entertainment. The Tacoma seems to be the perfect truck, not too small but not huge and make 4mpg.

I found myself a 2005 TRD OffRoad DCab in Dark Blue Metallic. I'm going to look at it tomorrow and if it checks out, its coming home w/ me. Im definitely going to check the engine mounts first before making the purchase.

Plans so far are a 3" lift, some 16" wheels and bigger tires (undecided on size), TRD Sport hood (gotta have that hood scoop, 50 extra HP!!!!!!11111one), blacked headlights, offroad bumper and not sure what else. I hope to get it back in time to make the Texas meet in a couple weeks as I will be going to Texas A&M to finish up my degree before leaving for Maxwell AFB and ASBC. Should be fun to hang out down there and see what the trails are like.

    *EDIT (copied from post 11)*
Well it looks like I should have kept my mouth shut. I called the guy yesterday and he said he had no interest in it at all yet so I made an appointment to come up and buy it today after class. When I called to make sure we were still on he told me someone came in at 9pm last night and put a deposit down on it and its going to buy it pending the results of the pre-purchase inspection at the Toyota dealership :(
