I've never owned a truck before but I like these new double cab trucks. Back seat functionality for the family and kids and a short bed if/when I actually need to move stuff around. Anyway, wanted to get myself a Tacoma DC, but I couldn't sell my car, so I bought this for my dad instead. I used his old Lexus with 140K miles on it as a trade. Truck is in both our name, but this is his primary ride. Originally we were looking for a used truck, but it turns out they hold their value well so for a couple thousand more we just went with a brand new one. Truck is bone stock right now as we just picked it up last week. Eventually I'll put an A/V system in, some ceramic tint, 20" rims and I want to lower it 3 or so inches. My dad thinks its fine as is, but I've been modding every single car I've ever owned so stock is not good enough for me. LOL. Got some cell phone pics below from the day we picked it up.

Thanks guys. I'm sure my dad will enjoy this truck for a long time. Any mods I do will just be a bonus and overkill for my dad. However, I told my dad its not simply about spending money on the modifications, but its gives me an opportunity to spend time working on the project with my young son (6 year old). Just like I did when I was younger with my dad. He used to complain about all the money I spent modding my cars all the while helping me and teaching me how to use the tools and such. :)
