Engine Light

Hello Fourm Friends,

My truck yesterday light up with check engine light. I have ScanGaugeII and it reads the error code P0441 and P0455. Please help.

Both of those codes have to do with a leaky Evaporative Emissions system. Sometimes it's as simple as a loose gas cap. Unscrew the gas cap and then screw it back on until you get 3 or 4 clicks. If the light doesn't go out, you might want to replace the gas cap. If that doesn't solve it you've probably got a vapor leak somewhere between the filler neck and the canister.

Like blackxpress said, check your gas cap. Sometimes (for some reason), opening the gas cap and resecuring it will help.

What year is your truck? Are you still under warrantee?
If you're still under warrantee, take the truck to the dealer.
How many miles on your truck?

My truck is 06 tacoma reg cab with about 41k miles. I have recently done some mods to my truck. K&N complete system DT Headers and Gibson Exaust.
