Hey everyone, my name is Chris. I've been creeping TW since I bought my 09 2.7L black sand pearl 4x4 Tacoma back in June. Funny how I accidentally clicked on this site from a Google search and now I end up coming back on here everyday! This is my first brand new vehicle I've ever had... I've loved the Tacoma's for years and always said if I got a truck I would get one. Well I eventually decided to get a truck a few years ago but it was a 96 Dodge Ram... I knew I would regret it as soon as I made a deal with the guy I bought it from. Sure as hell, a rebuilt transmission and countless other problems, headaches and an ass-load of money later, I couldn't deal with it anymore! I used to get stuck in my laneway all the time in the winter when there was only a couple inches of snow (it was 2 wheel drive)... drove me nuts at how useless of a truck it was! Not to mention a gas guzzler... Anyways, I can't even begin to tell you how awesome it is to be driving something that I don't have to fix or put money into (other than mods and fun stuff... soon to come!) just to keep it on the road. Plus its 4x4! I used avoid snow or 'rugged' trails because I had to or I'd get stuck and pissed off. Never been stuck at all this winter! :D
I always thought when I first got the truck that I'd keep it stock because it's 'new'. But, after reading through the forums here, I went out right away and got the dealership to install a hitch so I could trailer my 4 wheeler rather than put it in the truck box and risk bending my tailgate. I never would have realized the tailgates were weak and probably would have busted it! Also, I got WeatherTech's before the snow started flying (thanks to TW members for recommending them) and I'm so pumped at how clean my floor is still with all the salt and crap on the roads! My other vehicles were all crusty with salt on the carpet by the gas pedal and it does not come out.
There are lots of mods I wanna do now. I really want to do a lift and tires and all that other fun stuff. Looking at stereo options too... bah, I could be on here forever researching what I want to do! Believe me, I've been doing alot of reading on here and I can't help it.

I look forward to meeting you guys and learning more about my truck and the hobby that comes with it!

Thanks guys! Yeah I'm a creeper... figured maybe this mod bug would pass so there would be no point in signing up. Guess I was wrong haha! The guys I work with all keep bugging me every day and asking if my lift kit is in the mail yet. I can see a lift coming soon just so I can shut them up! ...and because I want one too.:p

Crazy I had no idea what you were talking about so I googled it. That's not far at all from Timmins and looks like alot of fun! Depending on work and such, I might have to go check it out.
