"I woke up to an ignition nightmare."

How yall doin? I 'm new here and sure could use some help troubleshootin an ignition problem I'm havin on my 97 taco that i just aquired via a semi shrewd trade. When I traded for this taco I knew it didn't have any spark but I didn't think it would be this cotton pickin hard to get it to ignite. I replaced the intigrated coil and cap and rotor but still no spark. This distributor is on the opposite side of the motor and it just dont make much sense to me why i have power going to the distributor but nothig happening afterward . Any insight to my oversights would be greatly appriciated, & please scuse my spellin ares. Thanx from Tacoma Cruiser
